We have had a few visitors the last month or so. My sister and her family came down in early April and then my big brother, Erik, came down over Mother's Day weekend. I'm glad to know that we are missed and that people love us enough to come all the way down here to visit. (Although I think Erik missed Baxter more than us. J/K)
The reunion between Erik and Baxter was pretty cute though. They got to be pretty good buddies while we were still in Utah because Erik (and my other bro David) would watch Baxter when we went out of town. I know Baxter has missed the boys and I'm pretty sure the boys have missed him too.
We had a great time with Erik, showing him all over our great area, eatting at all our favorite little places (Bisbee Breakfast Club, Jimmy's Hot Dogs, Buffalo Wild Wings) and playing games. Andrew was so proud of himself for beating Erik at Thurns and Taxis, he's still talking about it! We did a little bowling before Erik left, where he and Andrew kicked butt! We bowled three games, Erik won twice and Andrew won once. My first frame I bowled a strike, Andrew had a great second game and schooled us all, but Erik's last game was awesome! I think he had like 4 strikes in a row! We had a great time making up bowler nicknames and celebratory dances.
Just a really really great weekend. We love you Erik and we are so glad you came down for a couple days.
In case anyone is wondering, my Gerber Daisies are still alive and doing well. We've had new blooms and they are looking really beautiful out there. The grass in the backyard is green and thick and it's Baxter's favorite place to hang out. Ours too actually.
The weather here has finally gotten HOT. It starts early and is 90 by 10 am and doesn't cool down too much til 8ish. The nights are absolutely amazing, which makes the days worth it. It's warm, breezy and you can see every star in the sky. We love Arizona and are excited to have many more adventures here.
